Wednesday evening 16th August sees the 1st teams first night match of the season against Dewsbury Celtic. The rearranged fixture means Celtic will have to travel across to Leeds for what should be a great encounter.
Dewsbury are fresh from a 38-12 local derby defeat at the hands of fierce rivals Dewsbury Moor Maroons. Stanningley on the other hand are rather buoyant after a huge 64-18 crushing of Stanley Rangers over in Wakefield at the weekend. However, Coach Nicho wasn't overly pleased with the black & whites performance against a heavily weakened Rangers side and will be looking for improvements in certain areas. Adding in some great performances from the academy this week, in their triumph against table toppers Oulton Raiders, some selection headaches are imminent.
