After a draw last weekend for the academy and the 1st team missing out on a game due to Waterhead not raising a team, Stanningley will be looking for 2 good performances on the hallowed turf of The Arthur Miller!!

The Academy faced tough opposition in the shape of Oulton Raiders. The Raiders having their only loss of the season back in April against Hull Dockers Steelers and also defeating our boys in a close battle at Oulton with them coming out the victors 10-4. Stan went 22-6 up going into half time but, Oulton came out all guns blazing & coupled with Stanningley's complacency went 28-22 up with only seconds remaining. Jordan Walker coming up with a try in the dying moments. Spencer Taylor slotting a superb touchline conversion to save a point for the black whites.

The 1st team are back in action also against a high flying Gateshead Storm team. The away fixture at the start of the season was a close encounter with former 1st team centre Glenn Metcalfe coming up with the winner late on. Coach Nicho will be no doubt keeping the boys grounded and focused on the task at hand!!
