We have entered the Aviva Community Fund to try and win £25,000 and need at least 10,000 public votes by midday 21st November to get through to the finals. We are hugely passionate about rugby league and growing our amazing game. The North East is full of potential and we take great pride in spreading the gospel in what is an untapped area for the sport. We work incredibly hard and now have over 230 players and reach 30,000 people a year with a self-funded community team. We were humbled to be named RFL Community Club of the Year, which I mention simply to give an indication into the effectiveness of our community work.
