Final game before the Christmas break

Saturday will again provide a tough test for the lads. If we stick to our game plan, and cut out silly errors and penalties, it should stand us in good stead to gain the 2 points.
- Paul Devine, Coach

This Saturday sees the final league game before the Christmas break, with Whinmoor Warriors being the visitors to the Arthur Miller ground, kick off 2pm.

Stanningley will be looking to build on the 2 recent victories against Whinmoor, the most recent coming last week with a 36-20 win the cup, after being 20-16 down with 20 mins to go. Whinmoor will prove tough opposition, with some very good young players in the ranks and a tough close game will ensue.

This week sees the return of Chris Holder, Scott Pascall, Sean Cooper and Sean Connolly, with Neil Gavaghan (holiday), Martin McNiven (injured) and Dean 'drippy' Parker missing out. There is also a potential return for hooker Chris Burke. The additional availability will provide a few selection headaches for coaches Paul Devine, Michael Banks, Tom Bell and Phil Wartley, with Tom Bell hoping to continue from where he left off last week.

Come down for a good afternoon and join the lads for a few drinks after the game.
